The conference hotel is the JW Marriott Hotel on Pennsylvania Avenue. A special conference rate of $136 per night (single or double) has been negotiated for this 4-star hotel. You are encouraged to take advantage of this very special rate. NOTE: The conference hotel is SOLD OUT!

IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM THE SOFT-TIAFT PROGRAM COMMITTEE

If you are attending the FBI Laboratory Symposium on Forensic Toxicology and/or the 2004 Joint Meeting of SOFT & TIAFT this August, you are aware that the conference hotel has been sold out of rooms. Now our backup hotel is also sold out! Luckily we have been able to secure another block of rooms at a great rate of $135 per night + taxes. This hotel is a short 15-minute subway ride away from the conference hotel at the Gateway Marriott in Crystal City. The room block is for August 27 - September 3.

If you do not already have a room reserved, please your local Marriott reservations number
(1-800-228-7014 in the U.S. and Canada or look at https://marriott.com/reservation/worldnum.mi for international numbers) and mention that you are with the "Society of Forensic Toxicologists" to get the special rate.

We suggest you do this immediately, as we will not block off any additional rooms for the conference!

Location of the Conference Hotel

Should you desire different lodging, the following hotels are available to you. The are arranged by distance from the conference hotel.

The Williard Inter-Continental Hotel (4 Stars): Just two blocks from the conference venue, this is one of Washington's finest hotels.
The Harrington Hotel (1 Star): Two blocks from the conference venue. This is for the budget traveler.
Marriott Hotel at Metro Center (3 Stars): A sister Marriott to our conference hotel, that is only three blocks away.
Grand Hyatt (4 Stars): This hotel boasts a beautiful atrium. It is situated about a 10-15 minute walk from the conference hotel.
Courtyard by Marriott (3 Stars): Housed in an ornate former bank building built in 1891, this hotel is about 4 blocks from our conference hotel.
Hilton Garden Inn (3 Stars): A bit off the beaten path, this hotel is about 10 blocks from the National Mall.
Four Points Sheraton (3 Stars): Situated about 1/2 mile from the conference hotel, this hotel sits in an area that is under transformation.
The Henley-Park Hotel (3 Stars): A lovely Italianate hideaway about 1/2 mile from the conference venue.
The Morrison-Clarke Historic Inn (3 Stars): An intimate, historic Victorian inn. Very romantic! About a 15 minute walk to the conference.
Red Roof Inn - Downtown Washington (2 Stars): Very simple, economy motel chain. Located over 1/2 mile from the conference venue.
Hostelling International: Located about 5 blocks from our conference hotel, this is an option for the student on a very tight budget.
