POSITION: Ethos Laboratories is hiring for the position of Data Analysis Specialist.

 

SALARY: This is a salaried position, ranging from $40,000-$55,000 per year.

 

HOURS: The hours are Monday through Friday, approximately 9:00AM - 5:00PM.

Additional shifts may become available in the future.

 

LOCATION: The laboratory is currently located in Fairfield, OH. However, due to exceptional growth, the laboratory could be relocating to a larger facility in Newport, KY in approximately 8-12 months.

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION: 4-year degree in a science-related field (chemistry, pharmaceutical, toxicology, engineering, etc.)

 

PREFERRED EDUCATION: Graduate-level degree in a science-related field (chemistry, pharmaceutical, toxicology, engineering, etc.)

 

DESCRIPTION: The Data Analysis Specialist is responsible for analyzing data for pain-management toxicology samples from the LC-QQQ, GC/MS, and/or Q-TOF LC/MS; preparing samples for reinjection; and sending data to the Laboratory Information System (LIS). This includes, but is not limited to, the

following: verifying that quality control and calibration data is within range, analyzing data for multiple work lists and from multiple instruments, identifying samples that require reinjection, identifying samples that require re-extraction, manually integrating data when necessary, trouble-shooting problems as they arise, loading daily work lists for the samples, creating standard curves, and other tasks as deemed necessary.

 

ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE PREFERRED: ability to multi-task with ease; strong attention to detail; good problem-solving and organizational skills; GC/MS; LC-QQQ; Q-TOF LC/MS; advanced knowledge of quantitation methods; advanced knowledge of drug metabolism; experience with software programs such as MassHunter; general knowledge of drug extraction; general knowledge of quality control procedures; good laboratory practices (GLP); good documentation practices; safe handling of chemicals.
