A unique full-time opportunity is available in the New York Spine and Wellness Center in the East Syracuse, New York area. The ideal applicant has a strong background in immunoassay and liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) applications and toxicology with an emphasis on pain management laboratory testing. Certification as a New York State credentialed and licensed (ASCP or NCA) Medical Technologist is required. The applicant will maintain and operate the analytical instruments used for drug testing (screening and confirmation). He/she will conduct LC-MS/MS analysis of clinical patient samples as well as develop and clinically validate new methods for pain management testing. Immunoassay methods for drug testing are also included and listed under the applicant’s responsibilities. The successful candidate should be a highly-organized, motivated, and dedicated person with the ability to multi-task. New York Spine and Wellness Center is a CLIA-certified high-complexity clinical laboratory which requires detailed record keeping and comprehensive data analysis and management. He/she will be expected to present data in the form of written and/or oral reports for supervisor and/or CLIA laboratory director review.
