Clinical Lab Supervisor

Primary Duties

The successful candidate is expected to have a minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience in LC-MS technology to carry out biomedical analyses in a commercial facility.  Candidate will work as part of a team to provide preliminary immunological screenings and confirmatory results of drugs of abuse, as well as with those drugs used in the management of pain using LC/MS//GS/MS technology.

Experience with a range of biochemical techniques including extraction, fractionation and preparation is also necessary. Other responsibilities include assisting with general lab support duties, reagent preparation and qualification, instrument maintenance, updating standard operating procedures and assisting less experienced team members. The candidate will work in a newly established, dynamic, fast-paced, CLIA certified laboratory which will require the capability of working under minimal supervision, planning and prioritizing assignments to meet timelines while remaining organized.

Qualifications

Masters Level, PhD preferred in bio-analytical chemistry, Biotechnology, or Chemistry with 5+ years relevant laboratory experience in clinical testing using mass spectrometric or HPLC methods.

NY State license as a Lab Technologist required.
