HOURS: The hours are Monday through Friday, approximately 6:00AM - 3:00PM.

REQUIRED EDUCATION: 4-year degree in a science-related field (chemistry, pharmaceutical, toxicology, engineering, etc.) PREFERRED EDUCATION: Graduate-level degree in a science-related field (chemistry, pharmaceutical, toxicology, engineering, etc.)

DESCRIPTION: The Data Analysis Specialist is responsible for analyzing data for pain-management toxicology samples from the LC/MS-MS; preparing samples for reinjection; and sending data to the Laboratory Information System (LIS).

This includes, but is not limited to, the verifying that quality control and calibration data is within range, analyzing data for multiple work lists and from multiple instruments, identifying samples that require reinjection, identifying samples that require re-extraction, trouble-shooting problems as they arise, loading daily work lists for the samples, creating standard curves, and other tasks as deemed necessary.

ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE PREFERRED: ability to multi-task with ease; strong attention to detail; good problem-solving and organizational skills; advanced knowledge of quantitation methods; advanced knowledge of drug metabolism; experience with software programs such as Analyst; general knowledge of drug extraction; general knowledge of quality control procedures; good laboratory practices (GLP); good documentation practices; safe handling of chemicals.
