Laboratory Name: Armed Forces Medical Examiner, Div. Forensic Toxicology

The Armed Forces Medical Examiner System, Division of Forensic Toxicology, Dover AFB, has an immediate opening for a GS-14 laboratory program manager and expert witness.   The successful candidate will have 3-5 years of post mortem toxicology laboratory management experience with recognized technological proficiency employing the instrumentation and methodologies required by the discipline, pertinent publications and LC-MSMS and LC-ToF experience are considered advantages.

Responsibilities include participation management of the research and method development efforts of the Division of Forensic Toxicology in addition to providing technical support for the six military forensic drug testing laboratories.  The incumbent will also be required to provide expert testimony in military and civilian courts, and as such, personal recognition and qualification as an expert by the court, is considered a condition of employment.  Additionally, the candidate will require proficiency certification in all laboratory operations and will be expected to verify laboratory analytical results as a laboratory certifying official.
