The Forensic Scientist/LCMS Operator is primarily responsible for LC-MS/MS data review of the quantitative determination of prescribed or illicit drugs in patient samples.  Candidates for the position must be able to operate, troubleshoot, and maintain an LC-MS/MS system with minimal supervision, and understand and follow biosafety practices for handling human urine and blood specimens.  Duties include, but are not limited to: review and release of LC-MS/MS data to ensure acceptability; monitoring and assessing QC results and limits; entering and reporting patient results within the LIMS; troubleshooting LC-MS/MS operations; instrument maintenance; complying with and remaining current on laboratory SOPs; other laboratory duties as designated by direct supervisor.

Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or related field.  Candidates must be detail-oriented, flexible, collaborative, motivated, and be able to multi-task within the clinical laboratory environment.
