Laboratory Name: Avertest
Avertest, a multi-location forensic drug screening service provider, is seeking a highly motivated individual to oversee laboratory operations and procedures on a contract basis. This position is designed to allow the individual to assist on an “as needed” basis and will report directly to the President.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assume all administrative, organization and processional activities of
the laboratory
• Monthly Quality Control/Quality Assurance
• Document review
• Specimen collection, handling and reporting
• Proficiency Testing
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Strong working knowledge of laboratory practices and procedures
• A high level of attention to detail
• Strong organization skills
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Education and Experience Required:
-Licensed MD/DO/DPM AND Certified in anatomic or clinical pathology OR Lab training or experience consisting of 1 year directing or supervising non-waived tests.
-Doctoral degree in laboratory science AND Certified in anatomic or clinical pathology, OR have 1 year experience directing or supervising non-waived tests.
-Laboratory Director license if required by the state.
Compensation:
$40.00/hour
